This semesterly event is designed to support student leaders in planning, hosting, and managing successful events on campus. Whether your team is new to your positions or looking to strengthen your operations for the upcoming semester, the Academy offers direct access to tools, people, and information that can make your leadership role easier and more effective.
Why Your Organization Should Attend:
- Essential Event Guidance: Learn directly from campus partners who support space reservations, event approvals, safety processes, funding, and marketing.
- Incentive Program Insights: Discover which of your events may qualify for bonus impacts through campus programs such as Greek Points, CWE, Real Tide, and more.
- Peer Leadership Support: Hear from The SOURCE Board of Directors about the resources and strategies that help organizations thrive.
- Practical, Ready-to-Use Information: Walk away with process updates, clear expectations, and hands-on advice that will help streamline your spring events and reduce common challenges.
- Space Reservation Insights: Connect with space managers to learn about availability, booking procedures and tips, and to discover new spaces for your events.
- First Opportunity of the semester to earn your Event Smart Certification: Officers will be able to complete the Event Smart Training, allowing them to submit events on behalf of their organizations. We recommend at least one person from every organization receive the certification!
We strongly recommend that each organization send at least one or two officers, especially those who handle:
- Event planning or submission through mySOURCE
- Finance or funding requests
- Newly elected leadership
This is one of the most effective ways to ensure your leadership team is prepared, informed, and confident heading into spring semester. The Academy will feature a series of breakout sessions, giving your officers the flexibility to attend the discussions that align most closely with your organization’s needs.
