Space Reservations

Student organizations can reserve space on campus to host meetings, events, and other activities. More details regarding available spaces and how to submit a reservation request can be found on this webpage.

Completing your mySOURCE event registration form and reserving your campus space should be done simultaneously.

Academic Buildings

To schedule events in most academic buildings, visit schedule.ua.edu. There may be strict policies about how far in advance events must be scheduled, so plan accordingly and reach out at least two weeks before your event.

Some academic buildings do not use schedule.ua.edu to reserve space. In these cases, contact the academic college that the building is affiliated with. View the list of event schedulers for each college on the Registrar’s website.

The University of Alabama Student Center

The University of Alabama Student Center has a variety of rental options, from small meeting spaces to large banquet halls or spaces for tabling. To view all of the forms for reservations and policies, visit The University of Alabama Student Center website.

Outdoor Common Spaces

For events held in outdoor common spaces that require a Grounds Use Permit (GUP), the mySOURCE event registration form serves as the official GUP request and will be reviewed as part of the event approval process. Student organizations should not submit a separate Grounds Use Permit application.

If you are unsure whether your desired location is considered an outdoor common space, please contact the Office of Student Involvement at uainvolvement@ua.edu for assistance.
